Will cleaning the HVAC system reduce my energy bills?
Your HVAC system can be one of the biggest sources of energy waste in your home. Getting rid of debris and contaminants that reduce the flow inside your air ducts can significantly improve the system’s efficiency and longevity. This means less energy waste due to an improved circulation and less potential repairs down the road.
How can I make my dryer vent more efficient?
The highest level of efficiency is achieved when the vent is shorter, and has as few turns as possible. The material that the dryer duct is made from is also important. Rigid metal is considered to be the best material, followed by semi-rigid metal. Plastic and aluminum foil should be avoided. A hood cap is a good choice.
